Quentin Tarantino "I'll Never Work With Disney Again"

Incase you missed it, in late 2015, Tarantino went on the Howard Stern show to claim that Disney used "bullying" tactics to push his upcoming film 'The Hateful Eight' from the iconic Arclight Cinerama Dome, to make way for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens". At the time, an extremely disgruntled Tarantino claimed that Disney were "engaging in extortionist practices against us... They're coming out to destroy us, to grind us into the gravel".

Further proving that you shouldn't get in the way of Tarantino's creative vision, his beef with the mouse has turned full-blown grudge. Three months later now, in an interview with Confidential, when questioned about healing the rift with Disney, he responded "No, they fucked me over... I would never work (with Disney) in any way, shape or form after what they did to me" according to The New York Daily News.

Leading up to the debacle, Tarantino's decision to shoot the film on 70mm was in-part inspired by the 'event' and prestige surrounded by a residency at the 'Archlight', where a contract had already been signed before Disney had intervened. "They fucked me over and I made them a lot of money for Pulp Fiction, and that really is a bad way to treat a former employee who has worked very well for them" he added, referring to the 1994 film's production house Miramax, which was a subsidiary of Disney at the time.

I guess we can cross Tarantino off the potential list of directors to helm 'Pete's Dragon 2'. Honestly, at this point, he's allowed to be pissed off. However, he's supposedly only got two films left in him. Was working with Disney even on his radar? Probably not.

What do you think about this ongoing feud? We'll keep you posted as the trainwreck continues.
